Derya got her BSc. and MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, where she worked on modeling theoretically and numerically the instabilities of soft materials. Her current research interests include isogeometric analysis, incompressible elasticity, and the subject specific modeling of glymphatics transport.
